Manchester United 4-2 Aston Villa
(Round Three)
There was a strange sense of déjà vu when United drew Aston Villa in Round Three of the competition, but it was the Reds who came out on top in a six-goal thriller, overcoming Villa in a 4-2 victory.
Manchester United 2-0 Burnley
(Round Four)
Marcus Rashford carried his fine form from the World Cup into the Carabao Cup as he touched down from Qatar. The England international and Christian Eriksen grabbed a goal each either side of the break as United beat Burnley 2-0 to reach the Quarter-Final.
Manchester United 3-0 Charlton Athletic
(Quarter-Final)
Charlton Athletic travelled to Old Trafford as the lowest ranked side in the competition. Lifelong Reds supporter Dean Holden led then Addicks out against Ten Hag’s men, but United proved too strong for the South Londoners, as the Reds cruised to a 3-0 win.
Nottingham Forest 0-3 Manchester United
(Semi-Final First Leg)
It didn’t take long for Ten Hag’s men to stamp their authority on the Semi-Final against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. Rashford, Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst – who opened his account for the Club – and Bruno Fernandes all made the scoresheet in a 3-0 win.
Manchester United 2-0 Nottingham Forest
(Semi-Final Second Leg)
With one foot firmly planted in the Final, a 3-0 win saw United book their place at Wembley. United breezed past Steve Cooper’s men in a 5-0 aggregate triumph with the Carabao Cup Final on their horizons and silverware in sight.
