Following the sacking of Hansi Flick, here’s a look at the numbers behind his tenure as Germany coach.

After a string of poor results, Saturday’s 4-1 loss to Japan was the catalyst that led to Hansi Flick being relieved of his duties as Germany coach.
The 58-year-old former Bayern Munich coach had long been criticized, and looking at the numbers behind his tenure as Germany boss, it’s clear why.
In his 25 games in charge, Flick led the team to 12 wins, seven draws and six defeats, meaning he picked up 1.72 points per game.
This is the second lowest points per game average for a German national team coach ever, with Erich Ribbeck being the only coach to do worse.
After Germany’s embarrassing World Cup exit in Qatar last year, Flick guided the team to just one win in six games – a 2-0 victory over Peru – and lost five of his last five games in charge.
