Today EA SPORTS have unveiled their brand-new football identity under the Electronics Arts Sports Division; which will continue to blur the lines of Football between real-world and in-the-game.
EA SPORTS has defined interactive football for 30 years alongside more than 150 million fans, and EA SPORTS FC will continue to build the world’s biggest football community alongside partners who share a common goal of a fan-first future of football.
Built on a foundation of inclusivity and innovation, fans will experience unrivalled authenticity with access to more than 19,000 fully licensed players, 700 teams and 30 leagues, with the support of over 300 global football partners that will allow further expansion into new areas around both women’s and grassroots football.
The new bold logo takes its design inspiration from triangles; an ever-present shape in the sport and football culture that represents the game in multiple dimensions. From passing techniques to set plays to formation design, triangles are a constant in the beautiful game.
The shape is also woven into the DNA of EA SPORTS football experiences; from the isometric viewing angles of EA SPORTS’s first football games and triangular polygons that make up every frame, to the chemistry triangles that exist in Ultimate Team or the iconic player indicator symbol that appears above athletes in every match.
