Musiala scored an incredible individual goal for Bayern Munich against Wolfsburg.
Jamal Musiala scored a quite incredible solo goal for Bayern Munich against Wolfsburg on Sunday.
The 19-year-old picked up the ball on the right wing and appeared not to have any real options.
However, that didn’t stop the winger.
Musiala ran and ran and ran with the ball weaving in and out of defenders.
He then smashed the ball past Koen Casteels.
What a goal.
Bayern won a very entertaining game 4-2 to move back above Union Berlin at the top of the Bundesliga.
A Kingsley Coman brace inside 14 minutes gave them the perfect start. Thomas Muller made it 3-0 before the 20th minute as the away side threatened to run away with it.
However, Jakub Kaminski gave the home side hope before half time.
Then, 10 minutes into the second half, Joshua Kimmich was sent off for a second yellow card.
Was the comeback on?
Well in the 73rd minute, Musiala made sure the answer to that question was no.
That’s when he picked up the ball and decided he would single-handedly seal all three points for his side.
It’s one of the best individual goals you will ever see.
VIDEO: Musiala’s stunning individual goal
Musiala has been in incredible form this season with 14 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions.
And in an interview with the Bundesliga official website, he’s admitted he’s always had confidence in his own ability.
“I always have confidence in myself and I know I can score goals and get assists as well. I just have to keep working and be as efficient as possible. When I get the chances, I have to take them as consistently as possible.
“It’s something I’ve always had. I just have that belief in myself, but I can’t exactly tell you where that came from. It’s just always been with me and I’ve taken it with me throughout the years.”
And he also admitted he’s taken inspiration from Lionel Messi and Neymar – something that could be seen during his incredible goal against Wolfsburg.
“Growing up, I watched a lot of Messi videos and Neymar as well. It always amazed me how they went into the dribbles and it was always entertaining to watch them play.”
