A Manchester United star’s future is ‘up in the air’ after a host of clubs have looked to strike a deal ahead of the transfer deadline, it has been claimed.
Manchester United star Anthony Elanga’s Old Trafford future is ‘up in the air’ heading into the final hours of the transfer window, talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has told GiveMeSport.
Erik ten Hag has bolstered his Red Devils squad with the loan additions of Jack Butland and Wout Weghorst this month, but there could be further incomings and outgoings ahead of the fast-approaching deadline.

Man United transfer news – Anthony Elanga
According to The Athletic, Everton are among a number of clubs keen to sign Elanga on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
But the report suggests the Sweden international is likely to remain at Old Trafford until the summer due to Manchester United’s lack of attacking options.
Borussia Dortmund have also shown an interest and it is understood that Elanga would be open to joining the Bundesliga giants, but a switch to Signal Iduna Park has failed to come to fruition.
Manchester United have received more than 10 loan proposals for the winger, with PSV Eindhoven and Italian sides being among his admirers.
Transfer insider Dean Jones recently told GiveMeSport that the Red Devils could sanction Elanga’s temporary departure if the right opportunity arises.
What has Alex Crook said about Elanga?
Crook understands that Elanga has an uncertain future as numerous clubs have headed to the negotiating table.
However, the talkSPORT reporter believes the 20-year-old, who is on a contract worth £43,000-per-week, will still be given game-time if he remains at Manchester United.
Crook told GiveMeSport: “That one’s up in the air, I think. There’s a lot of interest in him.
“But, to be fair, he is getting used in the games and he got an assist for one of the goals at Nottingham Forest last week.”

Should Man United allow Elanga to leave on loan?
Elanga has been restricted to just five Premier League starts this season, according to Transfermarkt, but he has still shown he has a bright future.
Since coming through the Red Devils’ youth sides, the wide-man has registered eight goal contributions in 49 appearances.
Elanga also put in a fine performance when he climbed off the bench during the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg win over Nottingham Forest last week, grabbing an assist on his way to being handed a 6.6 match rating by WhoScored.
The Swede, who is valued at £22million by Transfermarkt, has been described as a ‘phenomenal talent’ by Daily Express journalist Alex Turk and he has been itching for a loan move.
Elanga has become frustrated by his lack of opportunities at Manchester United and allowing him to leave Old Trafford for the rest of the season could be beneficial in the long-run.
